UNICS Kazan bolstered its frontcourt by signing power forward John Brown to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Brown (2.02 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Happy Casa Brindisi, where he averaged 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 21 Italian League games last season. He has played his entire professional basketball career in Italy. Brown joined Acea Virtus Roma in 2016 and also played for DeLonghi Treviso Basket 2012 before joining Brindisi in 2018. He helped Brindisi reach the Italian Cup final in 2019 and 2020, where it lost to Vanoli Cremona and Umana Reyer Venice, respectively. He is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with the Russian powerhouse in the 2020-21 season.
