Herbalife Gran Canaria beefed up its backcourt by signing combo guard Amedeo Della Valle from AX Armani Exchange Milan. Della Valle (1.93 meters, 27 years old) averaged 5.8 points in 21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, his second in Milan. Before that, Della Valle played four-plus seasons for Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia and was an All-EuroCup First Team selection in 2018. That season he ranked second in the 7DAYS EuroCup in scoring (17.5 ppg.) and performance index rating (20.2 per game). Della Valle started his career at Casale Monferrato before moving to the United States for three years, playing for Findlay Prep High School and Ohio State University before joining Reggio Emilia in 2014. Della Valle helped Reggio Emilia win the FIBA EuroChallenge title in 2014 and reach consecutive Italian League finals in 2015 and 2016. He has been a regular with the Italian national team, too. Della Valle led Italy to the gold medal at the 2013 U20 European Championships.
