AS Monaco will bring back a key contributor after signing guard Dee Bost to a new one-year contract, the club announced on Monday. Bost (1.88 meters, 30 years old) starred for Monaco in the 7DAYS EuroCup last season, averaging 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals in a team-high 29 minutes per game over 16 contests. Monaco's run set to play in the EuroCup quarterfinals before the season was suspended and eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. Bost ranked sixth among all EuroCup players in average minutes and eighth in steals.
Bost joined Monaco from Khimki Moscow Region during the 2018-19 season. He has played six of his pro seasons in either the EuroCup or the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He debuted in the continent's top competition in 2015-16 with Stelmet Zielona Gora of Poland, returned two years later with Zalgiris Kaunas and played the 2018-19 season with Khimki Moscow Region. In 38 career EuroLeague games, he has averaged 7.2 points and 2.9 assists. Besides Monaco, he has played for Zielona Gora and Buducnost VOLI Podgorica in the EuroCup and has averaged 10.1 points, 3.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 40 games total.
