Promitheas Patras has re-signed power forward Dimitris Agravanis for one more year, until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Wednesday. Agravanis (2.08 meters, 25 years old) averaged 8.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 13 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, his first in the competition and also in Patras. He joined Promitheas from Olympiacos Piraeus, where he spent the previous six seasons. During that span he played in 79 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games, including a pair of championship game appearances in 2015 and 2017, with career averages of 3.4 points and 2.4 rebounds.
Injury problems, however, played a big part in allowing him to appear in just nine games in the competition in his last two seasons with the Reds. Over the six years, he helped Olympiacos win a pair of Greek League crowns and the 2013 Intercontinental Cup. Agravanis previously played in the Maroussi Athens youth system and made his professional debut with that club, and he also played one season for Panionios Athens where he made his EuroCup debut, a 19-second appearance in 2012.
