Frutti Extra Bursaspor added some valuable experience to its team with the signing of veteran Birkan Batuk, the club announced Wednesday. Batuk (1.96 meters, 30 years old) arrives to the 7DAYS EuroCup debutant after playing last season with Besiktas, where he averaged 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 11 games. Batuk comes to Bursaspor with 105 games of experience in six seasons in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, collecting 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds. He played from 2012 until 2016 and the 2017-18 season with Anadolu Efes Istanbul and competed in the EuroLeague for Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul in 2016-17 as well. Batuk started his career with Alpella and also played with Trabzonspor and Karsiyaka. He was with Efes in 2018-19 but did not play in the EuroLeague, moving back to Karsiyaka to finish the season. Batuk won the 2015 and 2018 Turkish Cups with Efes and also is a member of the Turkish national team.
