Brescia adds big man Ristic on loan

Germani Brescia picked up some frontcourt strength with the addition of Dusan Ristic, the club announced on Friday. Ristic (2.14 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Kazakhstan club Astana, with which he averaged 15.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 18 VTB League games in 2019-20. Ristic was with Astana on loan from Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade after he had signed a three-year deal with the Serbian club in 2018. The Serbian big man will also be playing with Brescia on loan. Ristic grew up with FMP Zeleznik and Zvezda before playing with Radnicki Belgrade. He returned to Zvezda and made his EuroLeague debut during the 2013-14 season with 2 points and 2 rebounds in nearly 9 combined minutes of two games. He left Europe for high school and college basketball in the United States, playing four years at the University of Arizona. He rejolned Zvezda again in 2018 and made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with the Serbian club and picked up 2.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13 games. Ristic helped Zvezda win the 2019 Serbian League and Adriatic League crowns and also won the 2014 Serbian Cup with Zvezda. He also reached the NCAA Elite Eight in 2015 with Arizona.
