Monaco strengthens wing with Saunders

AS Monaco strengthened its play on the wing with the addition of Wesley Saunders for the coming season, the club announced Thursday. Saunders (1.97 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Vanoli Basket Cremona, with which he averaged 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 20 Italian League games last season. Saunders played college basketball at Harvard University and started his professional career with Westchester in the D-League and also played for D-League teams Austin and Windy City. He went on to join Kataja of Finland and played in the Basketball Champions League and FIBA Europe Cup. Saunders spent the last two seasons with Cremona and will be making his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
