Promitheas finds a playmaker in Garrett
Promitheas Patras found a floor general in veteran point guard Diante Garrett, who it signed for the coming season. Garrett (1.93 meters, 31 years old) returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup after playing for Tofas Bursa in the 2018-19 campaign. He ranked second in the regular season in scoring with 18.4 points on 43.5% three-point shooting was fourth with 6.1 assists and a performance index rating of 19.1.
Before that, Garrett excelled in the 2017-18 EuroCup, too, averaging 14.6 points and 4.1 assists over the course of 16 games with Italian side Fiat Turin. He started his professional career with a brief spell at KK Zagreb in 2011, including three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games. He then joined Nanterre in France before moving back to his native United States, where he had time in the NBA with Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz. Garrett returned to European basketball in 2015 by joining Maccabi Ashdod, and then had a year in Asia with Toyota Alvark Tokyo.
