Trento adds size with Williams

Dolomiti Energia Trento bolstered its froncourt by inking center JaCorey Williams to a one-year deal, the club announced Saturday. Williams (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from PAOK Thessaloniki, where he averaged 9.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 4 Greek League games last season. He started the 2020-21 campaign with South Korean powerhouse Hyundau Mobis Phoebus, averaging 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18 league games before joining PAOK. He started his career with Canton of the G League and also played for Hapoel Galil Gilboa of Israel. Williams is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Trento next season. "JaCorey is the final piece of our frontcourt. He is a player who has impressed us for the way he performs on the court, for the energy he puts in every situation," Trento head coach Nicola Brienza said. "He is a player of presence and impact who fits well with his new teammates."
