Gearing up for its 7DAYS EuroCup debut, Frutti Extra Bursaspor has put some fire in its backcourt by signing scoring guard Xavier Munford for the 2020-21 season, the club announced on Sunday. Munford (1.93 meters, 28 years old) will also make his EuroCup debut after having played the last five seasons as a pro in his native United States, Spain and China. Munford came to FC Barcelona late in the 2016-17 season, his third as a pro, and played five games' worth of limited action in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He has also appeared in 20 NBA games with Memphis and Milwaukee over two seasons, putting up 4.2 points in 13.3 minutes per game. In four playoff games with Memphis, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 22.3 minutes. The bulk of his pro experience has come in the D-League, with large stints at Bakersfield, Greensboro, Wisconsin and Delaware, although he also made a brief stop in China, as well.
