ratiopharm Ulm added two pieces to its backcourt by signing the guard tandem of Trey Landers and John Petrucelli, the club announced Monday. Landers (1.96 meters, 22 years old) penned a two-year contract as a professional rookie after averaging 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 31 NCAA games for Dayton last season. Ulm inked Petrucelli (1.93 meters, 27 years old) to a one-year deal as he arrives from Hapoel Be'er Sheva where he averaged 13.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals in 20 games in the Israeli League in 2019-20. The shooting guard led the league in steals, showing off the good defense he plays. He played college basketball at Molloy College in the NCAA2, leading the nation in steals (3.6 spg) as a senior while scoring 23.1 points. Petrucelli debuted as a professional with Iskra Svit of Slovakia. He then played for Erie Bay and Lakeland of the G-League before joining Sheva last season. Both players will be making their 7DAYS EuroCup debut. The double signing comes after the club signed point guard Troy Caupain and center Isaiah Wilkins on Friday.
