Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar has added frontcourt presence with the signing of shot-blocking specialist Reggie Lynch on a three-year contract. The 25 year-old spent last season in Italy with Urania Basket Milano, where he averaged 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots. He started his professional career the previous year with Kalev in Estonia, winning the national championship. Lynch graduated from the University of Minnesota after setting a new college single-season record with 114 shots blocked, and he was also named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
"Reggie stands out for his hard work," said Lokomotiv coach Evgeny Pashutin. "He reads the game well, is effective in pick-and-rolls, loves team basketball. Of his strong qualities, one can definitely single out his defense. He will certainly help us add pressure on the opponent in the paint."
