Maccabi Rishon LeZion added some versatility to its backcourt by signing combo guard Sean Armand for the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup season, the club announced on Friday. Armand (1.96 meters, 28 years old) averaged 17.9 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds in seven games last season with Elan Chalon of the French League. He also brings EuroCup experience to LeZion, having played six games interrupted by injury for Zenit St Petersburg during the 2018-19 season, averaging 3.8 points, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals in under 16 minutes of playing time per game. Previously, Armand had turned pro with Frankfurt of the Germany League in 2014, averaging 12.8 points that season. Next, he spent two seasons with Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor of Turkey, rising from 10.6 to 14.9 points per game. He then stayed in Turkey to average 16.1 points for Gaziantep in 2017-18.
