After at least two of its steady contributors fell to injury in recent days, MoraBanc Andorra has found a reenforcement to help the team start the 7DAYS EuroCup at full strength. MoraBanc on Wednesday picked up veteran combo guard Charlon Kloof to add experience in the backcourt for the next two months. Kloof (1.91 meters, 30 years old) previously played in the EuroCup for MZT Skopje during the 2016-17 season, appearing in four games over which he averaged 9.3 points, 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals. Kloof had previously played in Turkey with Istanbul DSI; in Crete with Rethymno; and in Italy with Fiat Torino. Since Skopje, he spent two seasns in Spain with UCAM Murcia, and last year was back in Turkey with Ormanspor.
MoraBanc just won the Catalan League a few days ago in a title game against FC Barcelona. However, the team paid a high price for that success as two pivotal players, David Jelinek and Oriol Pauli, suffered injuries that will likely deprive them from starting the EuroCup season. Bandja Sy was also injured, but he should be able to play the EuroCup opener against AS Monaco on September 30.
