Buducnost VOLI Podgorica announced on Wednesday the addition to the roster of veteran forward Luka Mitrovic for the remainder of the season. Mitrovic (2.04 meters, 27 years old) last played in Israel with Hapoel Jerusalem, a team he joined after the COVID-19 break. Mitrovic has plenty of experience at European level. He appeared in the EuroLeague for five straight seasons from 2013 to 2018, four of them with Crvena Zvezda and the last one with Bamberg. Prior to that he had also played three EuroCup seasons: one with Hemofarm and two more with Zvezda from 2012 to 2014, the last one after the team had been eliminated from the EuroLeague. In his 79 EuroLeague games, Mitrovic averaged 5.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He won three Adriatic League titles with Zvezda from 2015 to 2017, and also several national Serbian titles. After his EuroLeague stint, Mitrovic also played in Spain with Murcia and Manresa before joining Hapoel.
