AS Monaco strengthened its frontcourt by inking experienced point guard Nikola Rebic for the remainder of the season. Rebic (1.88 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Enisey Krasnoyarsk, where he averaged 7.6 points and 2.9 assists in 18 VTB League games last season. He started his career with Radnicki Basket Belgrade and also played for Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and Mega Bemax Sremska Mitrovica of Serbia, as well as for Mornar Bar of Montenegro. Rebic helped Zvezda win back-to-back Serbian Radivoj Korac Cup titles in 2014 and 2015, as well as consecutive Serbian League and Adriatic League titles in 2015 and 2016. He has also been a member of the Serbian national team. Rebic helped Serbia get a gold medal at the 2015 U20 European Championships, and respective bronze medals at the 2014 U20 European Championships and the 2012 U18 European Championships. In 12 EuroCup career games with Zvezda and Mornar, Rebic has averaged 4.2 points and 2.3 assists. "I am very happy to join AS Monaco, an ambitious and recognized club, which has played at a high level in the French League and in Europe for several seasons," Rebic said upon arrival. "I want to have a thought for Khadeen (Carrington, currently injured) first. We were teammates in Mornar. He is a very good player and a great guy, very appreciated in the group. I was very welcomed and hope to give my best quickly. Monaco is a deep team in all positions with great potential."
