Olimpija reunites with Rupnik
Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana brought point guard Luka Rupnik home on a contract through the end of the 2021-22 season, the club announced on Sunday. Rupnik (1.86 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Spanish side Zaragoza, for which he posted 4.5 points and 2.8 assists in six games this season. He returns to Olimpija, where Rupnik played from 2012 through 2016. In that time, he debuted in the EuroLeague and played three EuroCup seasons. He played one EuroCup campaign with Fuenlabrada, too. Rupnik has also sited up for Lleida in Spain, Antwerp Giants in Belgium and Nymburk in the Czech Republic. He made his professional debut with Slovan Ljubljana. Rupnik has also played for the Slovenian national team.
