ratiopharm Ulm strengthened its backcourt by signing shooting guard Karim Jallow to a two-year deal, the club announced Monday. Jallow (1.98 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Basketball Loewen Braunschweig, where he averaged 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 34 German League games last season. He led all German players in scoring in the 2020-21 campaign. Jallow started his career with FC Bayern Munich and also played for MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg before joining Braunschweig in 2019. Jallow has also been a member of the German national team. He played 4 EuroCup games with Bayern and his last appearance in the competition came against Fiat Turin on January 31, 2018.
"I am very happy to have signed in Ulm for the next two years," Jallow said. "Ulm has been represented at the top international level for years, plus the new training center on the OrangeCampus. For a young player in particular, there is no better option to keep improving. When I spoke to Coach Jaka Lakovic on the phone, it was 100 percent clear to me that I wanted to play in Ulm."
