Virtus Segafredo Bologna kept one of the core roster pieces of the last two seasons, re-signing forward Vince Hunter for two more years, the club announced on Saturday. Hunter (2.03 meters, 26 years old) comes off a season in which he was honored as the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 MVP, and selected to the All-EuroCup Second Team. Hunter posted 9.8 points on 62.9% two-point shooting over the course of the last season, and finished it as Virtus' leading rebounder with 4.6 boards per game, and also averaged 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals. In the Italian League, he averaged 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds, helping Virtus sweep its way to the league crown. Hunter began his professional career with Reno in the G-League. He played briefly for Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, where he made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut in 2016. Hunter has also played for Avtodor Saratov in Russia, Memphis in the NBA and Memphis's G-League affiliate in the same city. He also played for AEK Athens in Greece, team he helped win the Basketball Champions League crown in 2018.
