Virtus Segafredo Bologna gave its frontcourt a big boost by signing power forward Kevin Hervey to a two-year deal, the club announced on Saturday. Hervey (2.07 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, which he helped reach the 7DAYS EuroCup quarterfinals last season by averaging 12.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.9 steals. He also posted 11.7 points and 4.9 rebounds in the VTB League action. That was Hervey's first season on the European continent after arriving from Oklahoma City of the NBA, where he spent the previous two seasons, including stretches with the club's G-League affiliate. Hervey averaged 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals in the 2019-20 G-League season. Before that, he played college basketball at the University of Texas at Arlington, with which he was the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year in 2017.
