Frutti Extra Bursaspor strengthened its backcourt by inking point guard Marlain Veal, the club announced Thursday. Veal (1.75 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Bnei Hertzeliya, where he averaged 6.5 points and 4.0 assists in 2 Israeli League games last season. He started the 2020-21 campaign with another Israeli team, averaging 18.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.9 steals in 29 second division games. He started his professional career with Final Spor Genclik Bursa, averaging 23.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.0 steals in 24 Turkish second division in the 2019-20 season. He helped Bursa win the Turkish second division (TBL) Federation Cup title.
