Nizhny Novgorod added talent to the roster ahead of its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut, signing young forward Ivan Viktorov to a three-year deal on Tuesday. Viktorov (1.96 meters, 18 years old) arrives from Spartak St. Petersburg, club where he grew up, and where he averaged 11.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals in Russian U23 youth league last season. He is also a member of Russian youth national teams. "With Ivan youcan see a great desire and performance", said Nizhny Novgorod head coach Ainars Bagatskis."I think if he continues with the attitude he has been showing so far in practices, he can grow into an important player in our team."
