Galatasaray lands Huseyin Besok

Huseyin Besok - Prokom Trefl One of the best defensive centers in Europe returned home on Tuesday when Galatasaray Cafe Crown officially announced that Huseyin Besok inked a two-year deal with his new club. Besok (212, 32) arrives from Prokom Trefl Sopot, where he averaged 9.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 20 Euroleague games last season. He helped Prokom to win the Polish League title, as well as making it to Euroleague Top 16. Besok has also played for Le Mans and Adecco Asvel in France, Maccabi Elite in Israel, as well as for Efes Pilsen in his native Turkey. He helped Le Mans to win both the French League and Cup titles in 2006, also won back-to-back Israeli League and Israeli Cup titles with Maccabi in 2003 and 2003, as well as helping Efes to win three Turkish League and a Korac Cup title from 1994 and 2001. Besok was also a regular member of the Turkish national team from 1996 to 2003 and won a silver medal at EuroBasket 2001.
