Olympiacos Piraeus added fire power to its backcourt by inking scoring guard Dwight Buycks until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Tuesday. Buycks (1.91 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Shenzhen Leopards of China, where he averaged 20.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 20 games. He made his EuroLeague debut with Spanish powerhouse Valencia Basket in the 2014-15 season, averaging 12.0 points in 3 games. Buycks has also played for Tulsa, Grand Rapids, Oklahoma City and Bakersfield of the D-League, Telenet Ostend of Belgium, BCM Gravelines of France, Toronto, Detroit and Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, as well as for Tianjin Steel and Fujian Sturgeons of China. He helped Ostend win the Belgian League title in 2013 and lifted the French Leaders Cup trophy with Gravelines in 2013.
