FC Bayern rebounded from its disappointing loss start to the German League Final Tournament by easing past Hakro Merlins Crailsheim 79-110. Mathias Lessort led the way for Bayern with 20 points and 9 rebounds while Maodo Lo collected 17 points and Vladimir Lucic added 14 points in the win, which gives Bayern a 1-1 record in the five-team Group A. Sebastian Herrera paced Craisheim with 27 points and 5 assists.

Lessort started strong for Bayern with 4 points and a block and Petteri Koponen drained a triple for a 7-11 lead. After Crailsheim evened the game 11-11, Bayern reeled off a 0-15 finish to the quarter with 6 points from Paul Zipser and an 11-26 advantage. Crailsheim pulled within 17-26 before another Koponen triple helped push Bayern ahead 17-33. Lessort added two more scores, Zipser had a three-point play and Lo knocked down a triple for a 35-51 lead at the break. Lessort had four points and Lucic converted a four-point play in a 0-10 surge to lead 38-61. Bayern got another trey from Lo in a 2-9 surge and the cushion was 48-72 with the tournament host leading 56-86 after three quarters. Crailsheim opened the fourth quarter with a 6-2 run but the hole was much too big for a comeback as Bayern did not let the opponents get closer than 24 points the rest of the way.
